ALBANY – Work is underway to repair a sinkhole on an Albany road.

The sinkhole first appeared Tuesday in an access road off Washington Avenue Extension.

The water department says it began due to a sewer line break – 15 feet underground.

Crews plan to use special video cameras on Wednesday to help them get a better idea of the break and repair it.

Except for a small area of road around the sinkhole, everything else remains open.
