ALBANY - The federal government is no longer considering the former Kenwood Academy in Albany as an option to house undocumented children.

NewsChannel 13 first reported the site was being considered back in June.

Congressman Paul Tonko says he discussed the matter with the Department of Health And Human Services.

He says right now, the only location in New York, currently being considered is in Syracuse.

No word yet on why Kenwood was ruled out.
