NYRA President Chris Kay says this is the first time in 13 years that the organization has started a meet at Saratoga not in debt.

Kay made sure to make necessary improvements at the Saratoga Race Course.

“When I talked to people – whether it be the grandstand, clubhouse, or backyard, they all said, ‘Could you get us some new TVs?’ This year, we spent almost $2 million [on] 750 new high-definition new television sets and three new high-definition video boards. That’s one big improvement this year,” he said.
