Gov. Cuomo's recent trip to Israel may have been funded by campaign cash, but not all of it.
It turns out that state police sent a security detail with the governor and taxpayers will be paying for that.
NewsChannel 13 called state police to find out just how much money that part of the trip cost.
A spokesperson would only tell us that state police did send a security details as they are responsible for the safety and security of the governor "24/7."
The spokesperson would not say how much was spent and would not give a breakdown of expenses.
We have now filed a FOIL or Freedom of Information Law request to get that information. We'll let you know what we find out.
