"Transporter" takes a trip we've seen before

Give Jason Statham another "Transporter" movie, and one thing is for sure: You will again see the most flexible wardrobe ever put on the screen.

The rugged actor has become largely identified with wearing a business suit that can withstand all the punches, jumps and kicks he possibly can perform in it. It gets another workout in "Transporter 3," which gives his transporting-expert character one more human cargo to carry.

This time, it's the daughter of a European official who could put the kibosh on villains who want to dump toxic waste. You just know the Transporter wouldn't be given just a delicate Christmas ornament to handle, right?

As you might expect, his mission also makes him a target of the bad guys. It isn't long before he's again stretching those seams, doing things like leaping into the air and firing two guns at once. And once again, the film's costume designer earns the paycheck ... and then some.

Statham has made himself into a cottage industry through this role, parlaying his image from it into other action movies like "The Bank Job" and "Crank." It's no wonder that he would land a "Transporter 3," but he's been there and done that. And the even bigger problem here? So have we. Let's just say "Transporter 4" will not be necessary.

(Rated PG-13)
