Tim Drawbridge is back forecasting the weather on Saturday & Sunday mornings. Tim along with Jessica Layton look to keep you up-to-date with the latest news, weather and sports while keeping things light and interesting with Tim's Weather Photos and the Let's Eat cooking segments during NewsChannel13's Weekend Today.

Tim, who grew up on the East End of Long Island, is a graduate of Lyndon State College located in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. He is a member of the American Meteorological Society holding their TV Seal of Approval since August 1998. He has also been recognized by Metroland Newsweekly as "Best TV Weather Anchor" in 2004 and again in 2007 in their yearly staff-compiled "Best of the Capital Region."

His career began at WVNY in Burlington, Vermont late in 1993. A year later Tim was off to Central Kentucky and WLEX. He spent three years forecasting the weather and dealing with the severe weather challenges of the Bluegrass State. As well, he had the opportunity to co-host the Miss Kentucky Gala while also becoming familiar with the fun of Kentucky basketball, the Kentucky Horse Park, Keeneland and The Derby.

In 1997 Tim took on the challenge of building a weather department from scratch. He was off to WSYM in Lansing, Michigan where he ran into Coach Tom Izzo at first base during his first PR appearance. Tim participated in the Snowflake Chili Cook-off four times, learned some of the ins and outs of Hot Air Ballooning and loved experiencing the Big Ten football & basketball seasons. Early in 2002, Tim headed for Fort Myers, Florida to bask in the sunshine and deal with the intricate challenges of sea breeze fronts and tropical meteorology.

Tim, having interned at WTEN and WNYT in 1991, returned to the Capital Region in September 2003. He worked the morning shift at Capital News 9 for two years, had a brief stint at FOX23, before joining NewsChannel13 originally in January 2007. He looks forward to having you help him supplement his "mad, crazy" way of doing weather graphics once again with all of your Weather Photos.

When Tim isn't doing the weather, he's hitting the gym, landscaping and gardening - obviously, when it's warm - trying to find time to whip up those secret choco-delicious brownies, or cheering on his Mets and Jets. Yes, he's been a fan since the days of Craig Swan pitching to John Stearns and Richard Todd throwing deep out patterns to Wesley Walker.
