Paul Caiano was born and raised in Westchester County in Southeastern New York. He graduated from SUNY Albany in May of 1993 with a B.S. in the field of Atmospheric Science/Meteorology. In July 1993 Paul became part of NewsChannel 13’s weather team as a fill-in meteorologist. In November that same year, he became the weekend meteorologist.  Currently he forecasts the weather weekdays mornings on NewsChannel 13 Today.

Paul enjoys most outdoor activities, especially sports. He participates in local softball and hockey leagues year round. His other hobbies include forecasting the weather for various cities throughout the U.S. on a daily basis. Paul’s favorite weather event is a winter snowstorm.

However, don’t be surprised if you run into him chasing thunderstorms in the plains or putting himself in the path of a destructive hurricane along the east coast. As much as Paul enjoys reading the maps and forecasting the weather, being out in the actual storm is what it’s all about.
