Saratoga cops suspend search for girl
SARATOGA SPRINGS - Police have suspended their search for a little girl reportedly seen entering a wooded area near Saratoga Race Course.
Police in Saratoga Springs say a girl who looked to be about 4
years old was seen around 9 a.m. Friday entering the woods off Henning Road across from the BOCES school. Officers have also reported that some witnesses said there may have been a man near where the girl entered the woods.
Despite the eye witness accounts, police never received a report of a missing child. Nonetheless, they launched a full scale search as a precaution, including K-9 units and a state police helicopter.
Despite the full day of searching, the child was not found. The began winding down late Friday afternoon, although police say the case does remain open.
