Matsuzaka needs time off
Boston manager Terry Francona made the right decision when he announced that John Smoltz would take the place of Daisuka Matsuzaka in the starting rotation, and then placed him on the 15 day DL. Mastuzaka, who won 18 games last year, has done nothing but struggle this season, and needs the break. Right now that $100 million investment looks like a very bad one. Plus, the Red Sox have plenty of depth in the starting rotation.
