AMSTERDAM -- A girl walking to Amsterdam High School says she was approached by a man in a car on Rockton Street Friday morning and the driver asked her to get in his car, police report.

The girl reported the incident to the school resource officer when she got to school and then police were called. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned man in his early 20's with a thin build. The partial license plate was EJD of a small gray car.
