Fallen soldier mourned in Warren County
CHESTERTOWN - Calling hours were held Friday for a local soldier killed in Afghanistan.
Pfc. Jeremiah Monroe was killed by a roadside bomb last week.
He was from Brant Lake and living in Niskayuna at the time.
Monroe was 31 years old. He leaves behind a 9-year-old daughter.
The funeral Mass is Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in Chestertown.
