Man tries to run through police barricade

HUDSON FALLS -- Police chased a Hudson Falls man after a call came in that he was violating an order of protection.

Cordelle J. Pratt, 25, of Crowley Road, was at a woman's home that he had been ordered to stay away from by the Washington County Family Court. Police got the call around 5:17 PM Saturday and while speaking with the woman, Pratt jumped out of a bathroom window and ran, police said.

Hudson Falls Police, Fort Edward Police and members of the Washington County Sheriff's Department helped set up a perimeter in a two block area near Maple, Oak and Center Street. Police say several bystanders pointed out where he was hiding, behind the B&C Lanes on Center Street.

Pratt was charged with three counts of 1st degree criminal contempt (felonies) and one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest. Pratt was arraigned in front of Judge Michael Keenan of the Kingsbury Town Court and sent to the Washington County Jail for lack of $2,500 cash or $5,000 secure bail bond.

The case was handled by Patrolmen Kyle Diamond, Jason Diamond and Sgt. Todd Lemery.
