Warren County Sheriff's: DWI, ATV arrests

WARREN COUNTY -- The Sheriff's Office made a DWI arrest early Sunday morning. Matthew Flint, 39, of Queensbury was arrested with a reported blood alcohol content level of .16%, authorities say. Flint was pulled over for failure to keep right while westbound on Upper Sherman Ave. at 2:53 AM. Flint is due back in court October 26 at 9:00AM.

At 2:50AM Saturday morning, Vincent Rathbun, 40, of Lake George, drove his green Ford minivan head on into a guide rail near Richards Ave., authorities say. The minivan was coming down firehouse hill on Elm St. in Warrensburg. Rathbun was found to have a BAC of .21% and is charged with aggravated DWI. He is being held in jail for lack of $500 bail. No one was injured.

At 4:37AM Friday, Sheriff's Deputies chased a man who was suspected of stealing an ATV and a boat sometime Thursday into Friday. Officers got a call from a home on Lakeshore Drive in the Town of Bolton Landing that a man came to his property in a boat and then took the ATV.

Officers chased the ATV and then the suspect on foot, eventually arresting Joshua Straight, 24, of Baldwin Avenue in Glens Falls. Straight is charged with two counts of Grand Larceny, one for the ATV, the other for the boat, which was allegedly taken from a private dock about a mile north of the home that held the ATV.

Straight was arraigned in Town of Bolton court and is in the Warren County Jail on $10,000 cash bail. He is due back in court Oct. 28 at 3:00PM.

Also charged is Straight's girlfriend, Nicole Costin, 21, of Glens Falls. She was pulled over while officers were looking for Straight and found to have packets of heroin, pills and marijuana. She is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on an appearance ticket and is due back in Town of Lake George Court November 5 at 9:00AM.
