Posted at: 10/19/2009 5:10 PM Skidmore student claims cabbie attacked herSARATOGA SPRINGS - A Skidmore College student says she was attacked by a cab driver early Saturday morning. Saratoga Springs officers say the girl claimed she flagged down a cab at Broadway and Church Street around 1 a.m. She told police the driver of the cab stopped in the area of Third Street, got out and reached into the back seat, grabbing the girl's shoulders. She says she got away and ran towards the Skidmore campus, where she reported the incident to Skidmore Security and then Saratoga Springs police. The cab she described to police is white and yellow. She reported her assailant as being an older, white man with an average build and gray hair. Police say they are working with all the cab companies that serve Saratoga to identify the driver of the vehicle.
