Sex offenders violate moving law

QUEENSBURY -- The Warren County Sheriff's Office reports that two area men, both Level 1 Sex Offenders, recently moved without making the required notification.

First, they say that Anthony Pecue, 36, moved from 509 Upper Sherman Avenue in the Town of Queensbury and did not notify the Warren County Sheriff's Office nor the New York Sex Offender Registry that he had changed his residence.

Pecue was arrested Thursday, November 12, on a felony charge for failure to register.

Also, Ronald Ruff, 38, moved from his last known address of Best Inn 24 Big Boom Road in the Town of Queensbury.  Ruff failed to notify the Warren County Sheriff's Office or the New York Sex Offender Registry that he had changed his residence.

Correction Law requires registered Sex Offenders register within 10 days with law enforcement, after a change of residence.

Ruff was arrested Friday, November 6, on a felony charge for failure to register.

Both are being held in the Warren County Correctional Facility.
