Fort Plain woman crashes car, charged with DWI

MONTGOMERY COUNTY -- Michelle Snell, 38, of Fort Plain was charged Thanksgiving night with Driving While Intoxicated after crashing her car on Stone Arabia Road, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

Police say Snell hit a utility pole at the intersection of Stone Arabia Road and Calbet Road. An investigation found she allegedly drank alcohol and took prescription drugs before getting into her car.

Snell was taken to St. Mary's Hospital for a blood test and released after being issued two tickets -- DWI and failure to keep right. She is due back in court January 7, 2010.
