Vermont looks to ban smoking at some sites

The state of Vermont is looking at a smoking ban for public beaches and playgrounds.
A hearing is being held on the idea right now in Essex Junction.
If approved by the legislature, smoking would still be allowed in other areas of state parks, such as campgrounds.
New York State had a similar ban, but it was suspended this week after opponents threatened a lawsuit
