Ronald Hogan Junior, 23, of Fort Plain was backing his mother's car out of their driveway, while his mother was trying to get in the vehicle.

According to a news release from the Montgomery County Sheriffs Office, Hogan ran over his mother's leg, causing serious injury.

When the sheriffs responded to the scene, they realized that Hogan was wanted on a bench warrant for failing to pay a fine.

Hogan was taken into custody and transported to court in the town of Glen where he paid the fine and was then released.
