Going green is helping one agency save the state some extra money.

The Dormitory Authority's headquarters in Albany was awarded LEED-gold certification today.

It follows more than a decade of improvements that have resulted in a nearly 30 percent cut in energy usage and a 40 percent savings in energy costs.

It's part of the Governor's push to cut energy consumption in state buildings by 20 percent.
