FORT ANN- A Westchester County man died Sunday afternoon in a part of Lake George known as Calves Pen after experiencing difficulty swimming.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office received a call for a male swimmer in distress at 4:22 p.m. Sunday. The Sheriff’s Office said that 23-year-old Peter Myung of Thornwood, N.Y. was with several friends at Hearthstone Point Campground and they had rented a pontoon boat.

While swimming from the boat to the shoreline at Shelving Rock, Myung experienced some difficulty swimming and yelled to his friends for help. They were able to get to Myung and bring him back to the boat where they performed CPR.

Myung was transported to Glens Falls Hospital by Bolton EMS and was pronounced dead at 5:44 p.m. An autopsy will be conducted Monday to determine the cause of death.
