Teen on bike killed in Columbia County crash

GALLATIN – A 16-year-old Dutchess County boy is dead after being hit by a car while on his bicycle.
It happened Monday morning on a private road in Columbia County.
Police say the teen failed to yield the right of way to a car driven by 77-year-old Harold House, Jr.
He was pronounced dead at Northern Dutchess Hospital.
No charges are being filed.
Police say alcohol and drugs were not factors.
