Assistant Fire Chief arrested for DWI

An assistant fire chief in Bennington is suspended after he's arrested on drunken driving charges.

Chad Prentiss was arrested Friday night after police say he crashed his truck into a utility pole and drove off.

Evidence of the crash was found at the scene.

Police later found Prentiss who they say admitted to the crash and to driving after consuming alcohol.
