SCOTIA - Glenville Police say a man attempted to abduct a 10-year-old girl on Cartwheel Drive in the Village of Scotia around 5:45 this evening.

He attempted to lure the girl who was on a scooter into his car by offering her candy. The girl refused, dropped her scooter and ran home.

The suspect is a white male in his forties. He is wearing a light blue t-shirt with an eagle and a sword on it.

His car is described as a light green, four door sedan, with rust around the wheel wells. It has an old style white and blue New York State license plate.

Through this investigation, Glenville Police have confirmed that a similar incident occurred about 2 weeks ago on another street in the same neighborhood involving a similar-looking car and man. He approached another young girl and asked her if she wanted to see the puppy he had in his car.  However, that child's parent never reported the incident to police.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Glenville Police Department at (518)-384-2244.
