TROY - Police remained at the scene early Saturday afternoon on the Fourth Street bridge in South
Troy Police Chief John Cooney told us, “We believe there was some type of weapon involved, not a fire arm, based on blunt trauma to the head.”

Neighbors say they know the group and they seemed like nice people. Kurt Mason, who recently moved near the bridge, says he's not surprised.
Kurt said Saturday, “When we first moved in, there were a couple of shootings within the first months. Now we have this. It’s not the nicest neighborhood.”
Police say neighbors should not fear for their safety, because the beating was an isolated incident; a fight that started and ended badly among a close knit group.
