Gloversville man accused of violating protection order

GLOVERSVILLE – Gloversville police arrested a man accused of violating an order of protection.

Police said 19-year-old Edward A. Rowback, the third of Gloversville was arrested on Tuesday morning and charged with criminal contempt.

He is accused of violating a stay away order of protection that was placed against Rowback directing him to stay away from an infant.

Police said that on Thursday, Aug. 2 he intentionally violated the order by going to the home where the child was.

Detectives found Rowback at his home after family members claimed he wasn’t there. He was arrested without incident, arraigned and taken to Fulton County Jail in lieu of bail.
