Quine M. Liddell |
ALBANY – An Albany man was arrested after authorities said he tried to buy more than a pound of marijuana for $4,000.
The Albany County Sheriff’s Office said that 31-year-old Quine M. Liddell of Picotte Drive in Albany agreed and attempted to buy the marijuana in the parking lot of Luk Oil on New Scotland Avenue.
A sheriff’s investigator approached Liddell and he fled the scene on foot. The chase ended when officers took Liddell into custody near Maria College.
They recovered the $4,000 and Liddell’s cell phone which he had thrown during the chase. A warrant was issued and Liddell’s home was searched. Authorities found a loaded shotgun, marijuana, scales and a vacuum sealer.
Liddell was charged with attempted criminal possession of marijuana, criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of marijuana. He had a prior felony conviction for criminal possession of marijuana in December 2001.
He was arraigned in the Town of Bethlehem Court and taken to the Albany County Correction Facility in lieu of $15,000 bail.
