AMSTERDAM - Two people are under arrest, accused in a counterfeit check scheme in Montgomery County.
Police say Bruce Jessop and Amy Johnson rented a room at a motel in Amsterdam. Inside they say the made and printed fake payroll checks on their computer.
They're also accused of using fraudulent bank account information.
Police say the checks were cashed in various stores in Amsterdam and Gloversville and possibly other towns as well.
