Fort Edward man gets 60 days in jail for abandoning animal

ARGYLE - A man from Fort Edward is heading to jail after pleading guilty to abandoning an animal.
Shane Morehouse was sentenced today to 60 days in jail. Morehouse and Louis Hart are accused of duct-taping the legs and mouth of a dog named Chubby.
Morehouse left the animal on the side of the road in Argyle where it was found by a road crew. It had to be put down.
Hart was Chubby's owner.
He pleaded guilty on Monday to misdemeanor animal cruelty. He will also spend a maximum of 60 days in jail.
