GLENS FALLS - A local church is scammed out of $1,500 and police say a Glens Falls man is to blame.

The sheriff's office says 34-year-old George Brown took the money as a deposit for a paving job, then refused to do the work.

He faces similar charges from an arrest last year. He's operated under the names; Brown's Paving, George Brown paving and Brown's Seal-Coating.

Anyone who thinks they may be a victim of Brown's is asked to call the warren county sheriff's office.
