Police: 1 person killed in Northway accident

LATHAM, N.Y. (AP) - State police say one person was killed in a rollover accident on the Northway.
Police say a Toyota Land Cruiser headed south on the interstate at about 9:30 a.m. Sunday just north of Albany lost control, crossed the right shoulder and overturned. The front-seat passenger, whose name was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and three other passengers were taken to a hospital for evaluation of non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the accident was under investigation
Traffic was backed up on the Northway for hours Sunday after the highway was reduced to one lane southbound.
