LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a motorcyclist fleeing officers reached speeds over 140 mph on the Northway.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office says 41-year-old William G. Moll of Cohoes fled police on the Northway on Saturday after he was clocked riding at 110 mph. He topped 140 mph before he was stopped at the northbound off ramp at Lake George.

Police say Moll struggled with the officers who arrested him. He was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, a felony, along with misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest, criminal mischief and unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle.

He was sent to the Warren County jail on $15,000 bail.
