SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) - The parents of a Westchester County college student who drowned in a Saratoga creek after a party have dropped their $5 million suit against nine men they claimed played a role in their son's death.
Kenneth and Deanna Grant of Briarcliff Manor are now offering a $100,000 reward for information about the March 2011 death of their 19-year-old son Alexander, a Boston College student.
His body was found in a creek in Saratoga Springs several days after he wandered away from an off-campus party hosted by Skidmore College students. A surveillance camera at a medical office captured images of a partially clothed Grant breaking into the building the morning after the party.
The lawsuit claimed the nine men contributed to Grant's death by providing alcohol to him.
