HOOSICK - The New York State Police are investigating a hit and run accident in the town of Hoosick.
They say 39-year-old Matthew Ratelle of Petersburgh was riding his bike on state route 22 early Monday morning.
He was hit from behind and suffered massive trauma, despite wearing a helmet.
The driver of the vehicle was 37-year-old Becky Goodermote from Hoosick Falls.
Authorities say she left the scene without contacting anyone.
Goodermote is charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, driving with a suspended registration, and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
