TROY - The Troy City Council meets tonight, and they will be discussing a Thanksgiving Day Tradition.

The council is expected to turn over management of the turkey trot to USA Track and Field Adirondack.

That group, led by George Regan, was in charge of the annual event for a long time.

But then, 2 years ago, the city took it over.

If the proposed contract is approved, Troy will pay USA Track and Field about 425,000 a year plus a share of the sponsorship money.
