For the past year, NewsChannel13 has been reporting on the flood damage from tropical storms Irene and Lee.

Many people have blamed New York State for not doing more to prevent flooding along the canal system.

Next week, the State Department of Environmental Protection will hold a public meeting on flood mitigation along the Mohawk River.

It will be held on Thursday afternoon at Herkimer County Community College.
