TROY - Scott Chaplin is going to prison for 25 years to life.

The Troy man was sentenced Friday afternoon. He was previously convicted of killing Rosemary Crosier 18 years ago.

The 47-year-old mother of six was found beaten to death after a robbery.

Chaplin had admitted to having an affair with Crosier when he was a teenager, but even today says he didn't kill her.

His lawyer requested the verdict be overturned, but that request was denied.

Three of Crosier's daughters offered tearful victim impact statements in court
