Man sentenced in 2009 arson case

SCHENECTADY - A Schenectady man will spend five years behind bars for setting his girlfriend's apartment on fire.

Kendo George was sentenced Monday for the fire that happened in September, 2009.

He will spend five years in prison, three years of supervised release and he will have to pay nearly $240,000 in restitution.

George pled guilty to arson.

The fire destroyed a two story house on Broadway and spread to neighboring buildings.
