Former Ballston Spa teacher to be sentenced on child porn charges

ALBANY - A music teacher from the Ballston Spa School District is scheduled to be sentenced today on federal child pornography charges.
35-year-old Tim Brehmer will be in federal court this afternoon.
He pleaded guilty in June to downloading the images on his home computer.
Authorities say Brehmer downloaded child porn for 13 years before he was arrested last year as part of a nationwide sting called Operation Predator.
He faces up to 20 years in prison.
As part of his plea deal, Brehmer must surrender his teaching certificate and resign from his job with the Ballston Spa Central School District.
