UAlbany hires new president

UAlbany will soon have a new president.
The State University Board of Trustees today appointed Dr. Robert Jones as the school's 19th president.
He comes to Albany from the University of Minnesota and succeeds George Philip, who is retiring.
Jones's appointment takes effect January 2.
He will be paid $385,000 a year.
He will also receive a supplement of $110,000 through the research foundation and a $60,000 dollar housing allowance.
