GLENS FALLS- Jimmer Fredette was back in his hometown today signing copies of his new book and bearing gifts for students at his alma mater, Glens Falls High School.
Fredette who is in his second year as a member of the NBAs Sacramento Kings, came to the Civic Center today to sign his new book, 'The Contract.'
It was the first public book signing for the Glens Falls native.
"The very first area we wanted to come today was obviously the Capital Region and Glens Falls in particular because this is where I grew up because this is the area that means the most to me in my heart. So I wanted to be here to launch this book, but also were able donate a lot of things to Glens Falls High School today," said Jimmer.
The Fredette Family Foundation partnered with Spalding to donate $40,000 worth of uniforms, shoes and shirts to Glens Falls Schools.
All 2,200 students were given a t-shirt.
Fredette is also signing the book tonight from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Barnes and Noble at Colonie Center.
