Three kittens found in laundry basket in Troy

TROY - Troy police say three kittens were found in a laundry basket near Ida and Third Streets.
A concerned citizen first found the kittens and called police.
Police say it appears someone tried to cover the basket with a garbage bag.
Officers brought the cats to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society in Menands.
Police say pet owners who cannot care for their animals should drop them off at a local shelter or police department.
