ALBANY COUNTY - Albany County's top lawmaker says he won't take "no" for an answer when it comes to a new county nursing home.

That's after the State Health Department turned thumbs down on that new health facility

Shawn Morse, the Chairman of the County Legislature, says he's not sure what the county will do, but it will not go out of the nursing home business.

The Republican minority has been urging caution for years, and Debbie Busch says new Medicaid rules will reduce the patient population.

Instead of a new home, Busch says she wants to lease space elsewhere, like a hospital and come up with better home care services.
