(AP) - Gov. Andrew Cuomo is promoting tourism in the Adirondacks with a high-profile trip to the park.

Cuomo and his top aides are spending Sunday in Boreas Ponds at the southern edge of the High Peaks Wilderness. The Adirondack Park land is among the 69,000 acres that were recently acquired by the State.

Cuomo invited along members of the press. He said he wants to find new ways to attract tourists to the 6 million-acre Adirondack Park.
