(AP) - An Obama administration official will be in upstate New York to join the mayors of three Albany-area cities at a roundtable discussion on helping distressed homeowners.

U.S. Housing and Urban Development Deputy Secretary Maurice Jones will meet Albany Mayor Jerry Jennings, Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy and Troy Mayor Lou Rosamilia at Monday's gathering at The College of Saint Rose.

They'll be joined by local housing counselors, real estate brokers, lenders and housing advocates for discussions on how homeowners can remain in their homes and how to stem the adverse impact that foreclosed homes have on property values and neighborhoods.
