Mother stabs child for not doing dishes

TROY - Troy Police say that an argument over whose turn it was to do the dishes turned violent for a family on Third Street.
Police say Caroline Mingo wanted her child to do the dishes Sunday night.
When the victim refused, police say the mother stabbed them in the back.
Police aren't saying how old the child is, or the gender of the child.
The victim was able to walk to the Troy Police Department, and was transported to Albany Medical Center.
Mingo is charged with assault.
