11 days after voters went to the polls, it appears we now know the winner of the primary race between incumbent senator Roy McDonald and challenger Kathy Marchione.

They couldn't go to the polls on election night.

So they sent absentee ballots to cast their vote in the primary race between Senator Roy McDonald and Saratoga County Clerk Kathy Marchione.

Some were challenged and set aside to be decided by a judge, if it gets that far and those are needed to decide the race.

But by late Monday afternoon, it appeared that McDonald couldn't make up enough ground.

Still, the attorney for the McDonald campaign was not ready to concede, saying he expects the 50-some ballots that were set aside for a judge to look at, will go his client's way.
