Troy residents to vote on new public library budget

Voters in the city of Troy go to the polls tomorrow.

They will decide whether to approve the new budget for the public library, and elect three trustees.

The proposed budget is just over a million dollars.

It represents a spending increase of about 12% and would add about one dollar to the tax bill  of the average home owner.

Voting will take place from noon to 8p.m. at the main library and the Lansingburgh branch.
