ALBANY - It's about that time of year again, when the New York State health commissioner rolls up his sleeve to encourage others to get a flu shot.

Doctor Nirav Shah got his shot this morning in Albany.

Doctor Shah talked about the importance of getting vaccinated to stay healthy this flu season.

The state health department recommends all children six months and older get a flu shot.

Those without health insurance can check with their county health department to see if local clinics will be held to provide free flu shots.
