ALBANY - There are a rising number of attempts to intimidate witnesses in criminal and civil trials across the country, and US Senator Charles Schumer wants to stop it.
The senator will be in Albany Tuesday afternoon to discuss legislation he says will help keep those witnesses safe.
It would increase prison time for people who try to intimidate witnesses to as much as 30 years behind bars.
