ALBANY - Albany police arrested a 32-year-old Ontario Street man this morning after he was caught with a loaded handgun on Bradford Street.

Rasuan Kornegay ran from officers on North Lake Avenue and Bradford Street to an alley in the area of Quail and Bradford Streets, and menaced police officers with a loaded handgun.

Kornegay refused to drop the weapon when ordered, and an officer fired two rounds.

Kornegay was not struck, but dropped the handgun and ran a short distance before he was caught by officers and charged with criminal possession of a weapon, menacing a police officer, and criminal trespass.

Kornegay was arraigned in court Wednesday morning and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
